Like many other European nations, thanks to an extensive history - dating to the 10th century, Poland has its fair share of castles and ruins to explore. In other places, there are harrowing reminders of the ill-effects WWII had on the country. Look elsewhere and there’s a mix between living museum and unspoiled nature. Take your time and let the dumplings, museums and mountains entice you. My time was limited mostly to Krakow and surrounds so I cannot make personal recommendations for anything further afield. But, I'll return one day and then I'll be able to add to this small overview of Poland.
