"Seeing the world differently ... as a solo traveller"

Who Is Ben In Wanderland?

I'm Ben, the solo traveller, writer, photographer, nurse and health advocate behind this website.  On a sunny autumn day in 2003, five months after turning 18, I left Australia on a 747 and started a new life in Europe.  Since that point in time, I've spent a lot of my adult life as an expatriate, living abroad, and travelling the world independently whenever I can.

I've learned that the best job I can have is travel.  It's enriching - it makes me extend my thinking and open my mind (as do the people I meet).  And it makes me see the world ... differently.

Through this website, I'll share with you the knowledge I've gained so you too can travel this beautiful world (in your own, unique way) and take optimal care of your health on and off the open road..
